When working with the Coerver-Method, I think there are 2 indispensable aspects: a consistent policy when it comes to scouting and selection, and a way of coaching which substantially differs from the traditional way of guidance. When you put technique at the centre of everything, it should also be at the centre of your scouting and selection process. After a technically developed team of players has been established, it's important for the coach to give the players some room for personal development. Without all the technical burdens which they aren't ready for anyway. Off course young players can be guided, but they will have to discover certain aspects for themselves as well. About 'being talented', bullies and yelling coaches for example.
