Zico set for Iraq move
Former Brazil World Cup star Zico has revealed he has agreed a deal to coach the Iraq national team.
The arrival of the 57-year-old is part of the Iraqi FA's plan to help the country qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
They are placed in Group A of the Asian qualifying group, alongside China, Jordan and Singapore and hope to have their new manager in place ahead of their opening game against Jordan on September 2.
Former Japan manager Zico, who was sacked as Olympiakos coach last year, confirmed that he had verbally agreed a deal and will now travel to Iraq to sign a contract.
"It's just a matter of putting the agreement on paper and signing it," said the former Flamengo and Udinese striker.
