Swedes boosted by France win
Kim Kallstrom insists the memorable victory over France will aid Sweden in their bid to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Seb Larsson got the goals at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev on Tuesday that inflicted a first defeat on France in 24 games.
His side had already been eliminated from the completion but will go home in good spirits following the morale-boosting result.
And Kallstrom believes the 2-0 win will help them in their bid to escape the qualifying group that contains Germany and the Republic of Ireland.
Frustrating
"We made them play poorly," said Kallstrom. "Maybe I should not say 'poorly' but we disarmed them well before they got into our defensive third of the field.
"All in all, it was a good game from our point of view. It was the first time we have managed to win in the tournament, which is a bit frustrating but results don't lie. So we must now pack our bags and go home.
"We need to elaborate on this before the World Cup qualifiers in the autumn. Even if it was a very tough tournament for us in terms of the results, at least we had a very good finish to it."
